Has anyone tried Mundu IM with PAC Mate Omni 6.5? So far, my experience has been mixed. Trying to figure out if this is worth paying for or just another FS sham. Any help would be most appreciated!

I'm not entirely disappointed with the Mundu IM, though I don't think it's worth the $11.

I tried it out a bit more last night, and, once you get the hang of it, it is quite good. I gotta say I expected far less, judging on pre-6.5 Omni "upgrades". The only problem ... my AIM buddies were getting my messages as texts. Is this Mundu's problem or theirs?

That would be Aim's or Mundu's as that's not the fault of the device.
It's Mundu is probably broadcasting itself on the protocol as a mobile device, so it can be the most cross-platform (by platform I mean protocol for messaging). From what I understand, some protocols require it.
Probably the easiest thing would be for your buddies to remove their mobile number info from their AIM account, so AIM resolves it directly to the AIM instead of text message.
To understand this, AIM and MSN initially (almost ten years ago now) were the first to allow mobile messaging, and back then it was all through text messaging.
Probably part of the Mundu / Windows Mobile / AIM relationship, but if they remove their mobile number from AIM's contact info, it should resolve.
Sorry I'm not a chat user much, this is just ... under the hood stuff.

Thanks. I understand all of that, and I would say you are correct in pointing out that reason for the messages being converted to texts.

I don't know AIM but it may be you cn log in from your desktop into AIM and turn off its sending mobile messages via texts. I think that's the type of setting would get saved on the server, but admittedly that's a stab in the dark.
Wish I could provide something constructive.

When I tried to use Mundu earlier today, I got an Internal Error #12, and that was with Windows Live open (not signed in) on the Omni. When I closed WLM from the Settings>Memory dialog, Mundu started right up. However, I tried sending some messages on MSN, and the contact on the other end never got them. They got the messages if I sent them from native WLM on the Omni. What gives?
